We love Chris

This blog was created at Cynthia's request for people to come to and post fun memories or stories about Chris and what he has meant to you. Being at the hospital these past few days, I have heard stories about Chris that I had never heard. He has impacted so many people's lives and it is awesome to hear about it. I'm sure there are many stories Cynthia hasn't heard that she would love to hear about. Post stories, prayers, verses or anything else you can think of! We love Chris, Cynthia and Cheyanne! Click on the comments link to leave your messages. You can also upload any pictures you might want to share.

  3. I totally love the way you were with the boys cabin at infusion: seems like a little thing maybe, but you were calm and in control... an old guy like me, a little on the quiet side anyway, stands in awe of your confidence and courage--and remarkable ability to get a room full of teenage boys to be QUIET... like, in an instant. It wasn't much time to spend with you, but I could tell-those boys loved you! They may have been a little sassy at first, but they showed you a lot of respect, listened... and even showered when you told them to. Awesome!
I want to be like you when I grow up!

When we were praying for you on Wednesday nite, I wanted to read Isaiah 42... where it talks about the coming Messiah, God's chosen servant. In verse 3 it says: A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice... NIV. I love that Jesus is tender! He won't take someone already wounded and hurt and "finish them off"... the reed is already bruised, but he's not going to break it... the wick isn't quite burning brightly, but he's not going to snuff it out! Our Master is always on the side of life, restoration, and healing! The Message puts it well: He won't brush aside the bruised and the hurt and he won't disregard the small and insignificant, but he'll steadily and firmly set things right. He won't tire out and quit. He won't be stopped until he's finished his work—to set things right on earth.
We love you and hurt with you and are desperate for God with you! Be encouraged! Be at peace! Be healed and restored to the fullness of Being God intended for you, and all sons of Adam!!
    Shalom

  6. I still find myself crying somedays, whats wrong I ask myself? Then I know...... I miss Chris. Even though I had only known Chris for a short time, well it didn't take long to know what he was all about! He wanted to serve his Lord, and I must say what a amazing job he did.

During some of my basketball games, after I score a basket I look up and point and I say that was for you Chris. I know in someway he is up there looking after us, laughing at our mistakes and thinking if only they knew:) We love you Chris!!!!
